Manage Your Amazon Ads Campaigns with the Agent

Use the Autron AI Agent to query, create, update, and archive Amazon Ads campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keyword/product targets — all through conversation, with explicit approval for every change.

The Autron AI Agent can manage your Amazon Sponsored Products campaigns directly. You can list what you have, create new campaigns, update budgets and bids, add keyword or product targets, and retire things you no longer want — all by asking in plain English.

Every change is approved by you. Read‑only questions ("show me…", "what's…") run automatically. Anything that mutates your account ("create…", "pause…", "raise the bid…") shows an Approve / Deny card before the change is applied.


What you can manage

The agent works against your live Amazon Ads account. It can:

  • List campaigns, ad groups, ads, keyword/product targets, and portfolios

  • Create Sponsored Products campaigns (auto, keyword, product, or product‑category)

  • Update a campaign's state, name, daily budget, or portfolio

  • Adjust placement bid multipliers — covered in Manage placement bid adjustments

  • Add keyword, product, or category targets (positive or negative) to existing ad groups

  • Update individual target bids — in batches of up to 1,000 in a single approval

  • Archive campaigns or targets you no longer want

Sponsored Products today. Direct campaign management is currently Sponsored Products only. The agent can read Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns ("show me my SB campaigns") but cannot create or modify them yet.


Listing what you already have

Read‑only questions return instantly. Try things like:

  • "Show me my active campaigns for my garlic press"

  • "Which ad groups are in my Spoons campaign?"

  • "What targets do I have on B07ABC1234?"

  • "List my portfolios"

When you reference an entity by name ("the eco‑friendly campaign"), the agent searches by that name across your account rather than scanning blindly. By default it looks at active entities only — say "include paused" or "show archived" to widen the scope.


Creating campaigns

Autron's convention is one keyword (or product) per campaign — it gives you cleaner per‑target performance, isolated budgets, and easy comparisons. The agent follows that convention by default. Ask it to create:

  • Auto campaign — Amazon picks targeting. Best as a discovery campaign or starter setup.
    "Create an auto campaign for B07ABC1234"

  • Keyword campaign — targets a specific search term. Defaults to exact match unless you specify broad or phrase.
    "Create a keyword campaign for 'garlic press' on my garlic press"

  • Product campaign — targets a specific competitor ASIN.
    "Create a product‑targeting campaign on B0COMPETITOR for my knee sleeves"

  • Product‑category campaign — targets a browse‑node category.
    "Create a category‑targeting campaign for my garlic press in the kitchen utensils category"

If you don't specify a budget or bid, the agent uses Autron's standard defaults — visible in the approval card before you confirm.

Bulk creation. "Create auto campaigns for all of these ASINs: B07…, B07…, B07…" goes in a single approval card — one click to launch them all.

One campaign with several keywords

If you specifically want one campaign that targets several keywords (rather than one campaign per keyword), say so explicitly: "create one campaign for my garlic press that targets these three keywords." The agent will create the campaign with the first keyword, then add the rest as targets to that ad group — two approvals total.


Updating existing campaigns

You can change a campaign's state, name, daily budget, or portfolio in one go. The agent looks up the campaign by name first so you don't need to know IDs:

  • "Pause my Spoons campaign"

  • "Set the daily budget on my eco‑friendly campaign to $25"

  • "Move my garlic press campaign into the Kitchen portfolio"

  • "Rename 'SP B07… | broad' to 'SP Garlic Press | broad'"

Bulk updates are batched — "pause these five campaigns" sends one approval card covering all five.


Adding and updating targets

Adding new targets to an existing ad group

Use this when you want to extend something you already have — most often for adding negatives, but it works for positives too:

  • "Add 'cheap' as a negative exact keyword to my eco‑friendly campaign"

  • "Exclude these competitor ASINs as negatives on my garlic press campaign"

  • "Add three more keyword variants to that ad group with a $0.50 bid"

Up to 100 targets in a single approval. Negatives don't take a bid; positives do.

Updating target bids

When you ask "what's my bid on X?", the agent looks up the target‑level bid for keyword and product targets — that's the value Amazon actually uses in the auction (auto campaigns are different — see below). To change it:

  • "Lower the bid on 'kitchen gadget' to $0.40"

  • "Bump every target on my garlic press up by 10 cents"

  • "Set bids to $0.75 on all targets in my Spoons ad group"

Up to 1,000 target‑bid changes in one approval card.

Auto campaigns are different. Auto‑targets typically don't have their own bid — Amazon uses the ad group's default bid. The agent will tell you "this is an auto campaign — Amazon uses the ad group default of $X" rather than quoting a target‑level bid that doesn't exist.


Archiving

If you're done with a campaign or target permanently, you can archive it:

  • "Archive my Spoons campaign"

  • "Archive these targets: …"

Archive is permanent. Archived campaigns and targets cannot be reactivated. For a temporary stop, ask the agent to pause instead — pause and resume work normally.


How approvals work

Whenever the agent is about to change your account, it shows an Approve / Deny card with the full set of changes. One approval covers the whole batch — even if it's 5 campaigns or 1,000 bid updates. If you deny, nothing happens. If something on Amazon's side blocks the change after approval, the agent gives you a plain‑English summary of what blocked it (e.g., "duplicate campaign name", "bid below Amazon's minimum") so you can decide what to do next.
